Rosa – Canada 2023

Rosa applied for our participant INTOPs in 2022 and attended our large-scale camp where they interacted with 90+ members across our north west counties and undertook activities such as sumo wrestling, flag pole building and international themed cooking challenges. Rosa was selected to go on our Canada WAGGGS trip this summer where the focus was to meet some of our Canadian Girl scouts and camp at a Canadian Girl scout centre.

They visited Camp Wa-Thik-Ane in picturesque province of Québec where they met other Girl Scouts and swam in the local rivers. They spent time in Toronto taking in the sights and also visited Niagara falls.

Here is what Rosa had to say about the Canada trip this summer:

“Being one of the oldest on my trip, most of my years in Rangers were disrupted due to the pandemic and this trip was one of my final chances to experience an international like this as a participant. From Niagara Falls to swimming in the lake every day at the camp, I couldn’t believe I was so lucky to be part of this experience of a lifetime!“
