Book & Go Peru

Our exciting new adult-only trip is here! Up to 20 spaces are available to secure on this 15-day trip available to Girlguiding North West England members aged 23 and over next summer (born on or before 31/07/2001).

This once-in-a-lifetime trip will include stops in Cusco and Lima, working between two projects on reforestation in a Peruvian rainforest and with a dog rescue charity. Other activities include a cooking class, a trip to Rainbow Mountain, a salsa lesson and a chocolate workshop. And of course, it wouldn’t be a trip to Peru without visiting the world-famous Machu Picchu (day trip).

Proposed dates: 7-22 September 2024

Cost: £2200

Applications will close on 18 August and those lucky enough to be offered a place will be contacted by 31 August. An initial deposit of £250 is due by 30 Sept. Places will be offered based on a ballot, with allocations spread across counties. Aside from age, there are no additional criteria.

• Day 1: Flight to Lima & then Lima to Cusco
• Day 2: City tour of Cusco
• Day 3 & 4: Project day
• Day 5: Project & chocolate workshop
• Day 6: Project afternoon & Spanish lesson
• Day 7: Project & evening salsa class
• Day 8 & 9: 2-day trip to Machu Picchu
• Day 10: Project including cookery class & Spanish lessons
• Day 11: Rainbow Mountain trip
• Day 12: Fly to Lima and stay in a hotel
• Day 13: Lima final evening out
• Day 14: Fly back to Manchester

The itinerary could be subject to sessions being changed around but will include all as described. The proposed dates of 7th to 21st September 2024 are subject to slight change due to not having available flight dates. these will be confirmed as soon as possible.
