Join us this summer for our action packed and fun filled, Summer Fun Days! at Region HQ. Each day will be filled with a variety of different challenges, activities and experiences. A great opportunity to make new friendships with other members from across the region!
Monday 5 August – Friday 9 August 2024, 8.30am – 5pm
Region HQ, Guiding Road, Preston, PR25PD.
Members will need to bring a packed lunch each day and anything else they require e.g. medication etc. Parents or guardians will be just be required to organise transportation to and from the event.
£28 per member per day + booking fee. Please note this event is non refundable.

Manchester Pride April 11, 2024We have 100 spaces for volunteers aged 14+ to join us on the day.
Anyone 17 and under must be supervised by a leader, parent or guardian.
This years theme of Manchester Pride is Buzzin’ To Be Queer. The iconic worker bee, deeply rooted in Manchester’s history, emerges as the focal symbol for this year’s Pride Parade theme – ‘Buzzin’ to be Queer – A Hive of Progress’. If you’d like to read more about this years theme click here!

Young Leader Training Day July 4, 2024
We’re holding a support and training day for Young Leaders, and we’d love to see you there!
Location – The Friends Meeting House, Manchester, M2 5NS
Time – 10am – 4:15pm
This is an opportunity for you to begin three modules of the Young Leader Development Programme (YLDP), speak to region experts for advice on all things relating to Young Leaders, and spend time with other Young Leaders from across the North West.
After attending this event, you’ll have completed the training element of three YLDP modules:

Commissioner Support Day July 15, 2024We’re holding a Commissioner Support Day, and we’d love to see you there!
This is an event designed for commissioners of all levels to attend training sessions relevant to their role, speak to Region advisers, and network with other commissioners.
Sessions will include:

Adventures… by the sea June 24, 2024On the 12 October 2024, Girlguiding North West England will be taking over Southport for a fun filled day by the seaside. This event will be open to all sections across the region.
The event will begin at 9:45am with an estimated finish of 3.30pm. However, you are welcome to leave before this time once your group have finished their last activity.
Over the course of the day, groups will be participating in 5 different activities these can range from different types of sports, crafts, and some skills we hope girls will have never tried before. Due to the scale of the event, it will not be possible for groups to participate in every activity but we will ensure that you are allocated a varied selection.
As this is a unit event all girls will need to be accompanied by their leaders, ensuring ratios are followed. Each unit is required to provide their own first aid. You will also need to bring lunch and enough drinks to last the day.
Both girls and leaders are expected to be wearing uniform during the event.
Tickets cost £1.50 plus the Eventbrite fee. All attendees will need to purchase a ticket, including leaders.

Manchester Marathon June 19, 2024Do you want to challenge yourself in 2025, why not run the Manchester Marathon to show girls they can do anything and raise money for Girlguiding North West England!🏃♀️

If you are selected then you will need to be able to either pay or fundraise £165.00 to participate in the marathon.
