Area 2 – 1 room with 4 beds (2 sets of bunks) and 1 room with 2 single beds. Small first aid room with 2 single beds for emergency use with a small lockable cupboard for medicines. Washing facilities – Area 1 – large bathroom with 3 wash basins, 3 toilets and 2 showers. Also with a separate wet room with toilet, shower and washbasin suitable for those with a disability. Area 2 – bathroom with 2 washbasins, 2 toilets and 1 shower. Lodge – Large day/dining/meeting room with tables and chairs. Fully equipped kitchen. Bathroom with 2 flush toilets, 3 hand basins and 2 showers. Wet room and washing/toilet facilities suitable for those with a disability. Small store room for bedding and belongings. There are no beds, guests use the inflatable karri mats provided. Campsites – Campers have access to toilets and washing facilities and the dry shelter. Camp equipment can be hired.

A campfire circle, Brownie garden with swings, slide, climbing frame and play house. Outdoor games including parachutes, adventure course, outside gym, pond dipping, zip wire. Nearby there is a local farm, Sugar Brook Farm, which offers pond dipping, lambing, bird and wildlife spotting, various nature courses, fruit picking and pressing in the Autumn (subject to a nominal contribution). There are also local horse riding stables, Tatton Hall, Knutsford Town trail, Styal Mill and Manchester Airport tours.

The Lookout – up to 40 people. The Lodge is non-residential but can accommodate up to 30 in the dining room and the Ranger Den can accommodate up to 6 people. There are also 4 campsites each with their own facilities.

The Lookout – Large activity room with under floor heating, wheelchair accessible bedroom with wet room and hoist facilities. 5 bedrooms, made up of 3 sets of bunkbeds, 2 sinks, 2 showers and toilet with storage under sinks for wash bags. Separate leaders’ bedroom with showers. Fully equipped large kitchen with fridge/freezer and separate larger fridge, 2 ovens with grill, hot water boilers. leaders’ room with desk and telephone. Entrance hall with toilet and baby changing facilities, utility room with washing machine and dryer. Risk assessments are available on request, plus there is a small first aid kit and Wi-fi. The Lodge – Non-residential but has toilets & showers, fully equipped kitchen and dining room for 30 people. It also provides an activity room, leaders’ lounge and a grassed play area. The Ranger Den also provides a fully equipped kitchen, sleeping and lounge area and the toilet block is located opposite. The campsites also provide firebases and picnic tables, some equipment is available for hire.

Equipment – fridge/freezer, plastic chairs, tables and benches, cooking equipment for both gas wood burners (except QM utensils/cutlery), fire buckets, water carriers, hot water urn, kettle, washing bowls, dustpan and brush, waste bins (no bags provided). There is a marquee that can be erected. Site powered by electric meter – takes £2 coins. Silver Birch – similar to Pepper Pot except people have to arrange to use the showers on Pepper Pot. Helen’s Field and Crooklands are completely unequipped sites with just one water tap, so campers will need to bring everything including portable toilets, although toilet disposal facilities are provided.

Costs: £10 an evening, £20 a day. £50 for 3 days and £100 up to a week. Grass Sledges cost: £15 an evening, £30 a day, £60 for 3 days, £100 up to a week. Peddle Bikes cost: £15 an evening, £30 a day, £60 for 3 days, £100 up to a week. Archery can be arranged via Northern Archery and a mobile climbing wall can be arranged at the site. Off-site activities include: play area on Cove Road, Holgates Caravan Park, Leighton Moss RSPB reserve. There are also local supermarkets, doctors’ surgery and churches.

St Anne’s (Kilgrimol) District

This Girlguiding centre is situated in St. Annes and is with walking distance of a sandy beach. There is a main activity room and a small meeting room. The centre has private parking, but the remaining outdoor space is not usable while building work is taking place. We cannot offer accommodation at present (August 2021) but hope to welcome visitors back to the centre in the future. The centre is still available for day events and trainings.

Seven Springs Activity Centre

The Venture House sleeps up to 30 people, with a mix of dormitories which sleeps 18, leaders” room for 2, 2 additional rooms with bunk beds for 4, a single room for adults, a first aid room with a bed and 4 folding camp beds. The Den is for 15 people – main bedroom sleeps 10 on bunk beds, small bedroom for 1 and lounge has 4 single sofa beds. Kinder View sleeps up to 20 – 18 folding camp beds, small bedroom with 1 set of bunks. Birch and Oak are fully equipped sites for 24 campers, more if they bring their own equipment.

Facilities
The Venture House – It is a centrally heated, single storey building. It has a spacious dining room/play area, fully equipped kitchen, relaxation room for leaders’, first aid room, bathroom facilities with shower, 3 wash basins and toilet with separate facilities for leaders’. Drying room and porch area for wet boots/wellies. The Den – Large lounge/dining area, bathroom with 3 basins, shower and 2 toilets and fully equipped kitchen. Kinder View – storage rooms and fully equipped kitchen and bathroom. These sites have access to Werneth Lodge which has fridge. Toilets and showers on site. Holly site is away from main facilities and suitable for large numbers who bring their own equipment, has toilet and shower block.

Activities
Adventure Playground, Butterfly Trail, Night line, Basic Orienteering, Grass sledging, Instructor-led orienteering. Numerous outdoor games, including bats, balls, goalposts, rackets, frisbees, swing ball. There is also a BBQ available and campfire. Local activities in the area – Lyme Park is a National Trust park with deer, duck pond, gift shop, playground and coffee shop and is within walking distance of the site. Buxton is less than 30 minutes on the train and New Mills Leisure Centre which boasts squash courts, modern gym and swimming pool.

Hall – has a well equipped kitchen, tables, chairs, showers and toilets. The Barn – the lower floor has chill cabinets, freezers and telephone. 2 large washrooms. The upper floor is available for Guide/Rangers/Adult holidays. There are tents for hire of varying sizes and Trangia’s for hire.

Archery – led by qualified instructors. Aerial Runway – can be hired and must be supervised at all times. Trampoline for hire and must be supervised. Pioneering poles for use on site only to make various structures (instruction booklet available). Parachute, Orienteering, Photo Trail and Assault Course in the woods. Large outdoor games available for hire. Netball, Rounders and small games equipment – these are free of charge. Water activities off site at the Scout Centre nearby. Booking is essential with them. Plus easy access to local places of interest.

Cosy lounge, work and store room where activities are kept. TV, video and DVD player are available. Fully central heated and double glazed with car parking. The Ranger Inn has fully equipped kitchen, dining room/activity room and bathroom.

Ashton Park – Situated behind the HQ incudes, picnic tables, football pitch, basketball/netball and tennis courts. Tree and planet trails. Junior orienteering course, treasure trails and code breaking puzzles. Hilbre Island – Walk across the sand to Hilbre Island for picnics, bird and seal watching. Beach – 10mins walk.
